What does Moon & Back PT offer ?
Join an inclusive, supportive environment where you will feel comfortable to move at your own pace, and within your own ability.
The majority of the classes are based on strength exercises, moving in ways that mimic the things we do in life. I often like to throw some play in as well to remind you how important it is to have fun!
There is also a Metafit session which is a high intensity interval session. This involves short bursts of body weight exercises with short rests in between.
From the convenience of your home you can join in a variety of sessions which will help you start the day standing tall and feeling energised.
You can choose from ones that focus on mobility/stability, an interval class which is bound to wake up some muscles and get your heart rate up, and a strength based class where we move in all ways that mimic life.
All you need is to be able to log into Zoom, have a small amount of space available to move and some light weights or improvise with household items.
These sessions are all about YOU! And they are not as scary as you may think.
We start by reviewing your health questionnaire followed by taking a look at all factors that contribute to your health and overall well-being.
From here we work through what YOU would like to do for YOU.
If you are new client wanting to do 1:1 sessions this is the initial session.
You don’t have to be a newbie to book in for one of these sessions. You can also book into one of these sessions if you have been training with me for years!
Ultimately, at the end of the initial session you will have a little more connection with your body and some clarity about what you can do for yourself to be able to feel strong and healthy.
The Breathe 360 workshop aims to create an awareness of your own breathing pattern and how it may impact your physical and mental health.
It is an interactive session so participants will practice gentle movements as well as guided breathing exercises. By the end of the session they will have the confidence and understanding of how they can make small, daily lifestyle changes that will enhance their overall health.
The most recent workshops I have run have been for the staff at Genesis Care and the nursing staff from the McGrath Foundation.
I LOVE empowering people with little pieces of knowledge that they can apply to their day to day life. Often it’s the small things you do for yourself that can lead to profound changes.
Did you know that out of all the things you can do to benefit your health and well-being, social connection trumps them all. A 77 year long Harvard study has shown that social connection is the key ingredient for longevity!
We get this connection within our group sessions, but on top of that, each year I organise a few social activities that bring us together. Some are purely for fun, others may put us out of our comfort zone and challenge us which is always a great buzz.
For example, we have done drumming sessions, bushwalks, enjoyed a feast by the fire pit, swimming sessions, walks at sunrise, self defence class, and a surf education session.
They have all been memorable in their own way, and have helped build this wonderful supportive community that we have.
Welcome to a supportive community that promotes positive health and well-being.
With my nursing background and my continuous education, each class is programmed with a holistic approach.
All sessions provide a tailored experience for everyone based on their own goals and considers their physical & mental fitness levels.
My goal is to help educate, motivate and support my clients to keep moving in a way that is best suited for them on the day .
My aim is to leave them feeling energised & enlivened at the end of each class.
My mission is to help you feel stronger for doing life, for the rest of your life!!
